Are you a thirsty dude?

Are you a little too willing? When you say you'd drink a chick's bathwater... are you serious?

I've run into thirsty men in a variety of flavors. My favorites are usually the ones on public transportation. They're always crazy, talkative and scary looking. They are the max thirsty, and they don't even care. I'm quite certain the 75% of people on the bus ain't got shit to lose. I'm usually the only one watching for roaches so I know this to be true.

Now, when/if you have get on the bus you must avoid eye contact. This is my personal mission, but sometimes dudes just put themselves in your view. Or, they continue to refer to you, say something that's obviously directed at you.

Last week I got direct finger pointing and was bestowed with a title. "See this girl right here, she da baddest bitch on the bus." I never felt so ugg.

Afterward, he went on to talk about my hair, the islands (I'm from Jamaica, says other people) and how I'm the mother of the world. He also said he was made from God by way of Pluto and Saturn.

It's fair to say I've experienced my fair amount of bus flirting. It's made me just stay home. I've also been hit on by everyone possible - the bus driver, the crippled dude, the homeless dude, the African dude, the lost dude, the dude that drives by while you're at the bus stop and waits for the bus with/next to you, the one that just stops for a long time while you walk the opposite direction, the broke musician, the broke artist, the butch lesbian chick annnd more.

The broke musician first enlightened me with a talk about the struggle. Oh, how I enjoy that. Not really. He kept with the "black women don't talk to black men anymore" tip. I wanted to ignore him but he asked directions first which was his segue to talk about instruments..and that awkwardly led to struggle talk. I know what comes to struggle talk, at least with me. Anytime some random dude wants to talk black relations.. he trying to flirt. I don't care what anyone else says.. because then this guy asked to borrow a pen. He wrote me a poem, which started out ok until it got to the part where I'm having his kids. He propositioned me. Imagine reading this in front of the suddenly creepy dude. It was so awkward and he missed his stop tryna talk to me too. I think I said something to the effect of "...uh thanks? I have a boyfriend."

I always say this although I never do. He was just so gross...and like 40 something. I prayed to get to my bus stop sooner. And people around you just treat the shit like daytime television. Horrible.

This is a service... and a rant. Everyday people just go a little too far, in arguments especially. This however, is just dealing with common behavior right now. It's becoming a problem, let's take a look at exhibit A:

When I first heard of her statement, I really thought it wasn't true. I thought she was misinterpreted or maybe the person exaggerated. Basically, I thought she's smarter than that. And hey, maybe you don't even see a problem.

Well, she says that M.J. "planted the seeds" for Obama to become president. By Michael making Black people look like friendly Negroes, Obama was able..or one step closer to becoming president.

Now, first I do want to say that sure, Michael influenced many things. He was the first black person on MTV. Michael was an exceptional performer. He sang about a rodent with passion. He had style. He could climb trees and raise wild animals. And Michael made Thriller.

But people are giving this man TOO MUCH CREDIT. Death is truly the grand finale, and that shit sucks. I have to hear about M.J. constantly when nobody was saying shit before - just making jokes. Before all of this, M.J. was a likened to the pedobear. Chris Rock called him out for dancing on top of his car, lookin' like Cap'n Crunch.

Nobody was thinking about Michael in the booth. NO. BODY.

The main thoughts in the booth are the following:
"lemme vote for him, I know who he is."
"damn I don't know who the fuck these other people are."
"they mailed me suttin, I guess I should vote for them."
"lemme just vote [your party] down the whole damn line."
&
"bitch better have my sticker..."

Nobody was reminiscing on Thriller thinking "damn that nigga could dance. I'm voting Black!"

Michael didn't plant any seeds for that. He didn't come out and endorse Obama. Sasha and Malia would NEVER go to NeverNeverland. BELIEEEEEVE that. The whole country would've lost their shit. Michael was not a political chess piece. I could break this shit down by age, sex, race but nah son. I don't care that much, just gonna say..

Bitch, be cool.

This happens all the time. Every time somebody dies people go overboard. I'm not sensitive to that shit at all. If I didn't like a relative before they died... I won't like them after. I still tell stories about people as proof they were cold as shit. I don't have anything else I could say.

You don't have to kiss people's ass when they die. RIP [their name] and keep it moving. Don't sugarcoat shit unless you mean it. If someone is great - let them know now. I certainly don't wanna hear you talking about them. I could give a fuck less if it's apart of your mourning process. Leave me, my telephone time, my IMs and my Twitter stream alone.
