Being the fast food connoisseur that I am, I figure I'll turn my snack reviews into a regular thing and give y'all the real deal. I did Taco Bell's fully loaded nachos the other day, and tonight's feature is Jack In The Box's Southwest Chicken Bowl. You can read the fine details below, or skip to the bottom of this post for the vital details.

I usually don't even bother trying fast food items that try to take the healthy route because I don't eat fast food because I want healthy options (if I did, I'd eat at home, duh). The bowl costs $4.29 and consists of grilled chicken chunks, black beans, shredded cheese, green & red bell peppers served over a bed of rice. Jack In The Box says it includes "a tangy cilantro lime sauce” but I really didn't taste it. If those two ingredients are really there, they were so mild I skipped over it. There is a slight spicy kick that you'll notice, I'm not sure what they used but i liked it.

The bowls are a pretty nice size and it's enough to get you full, especially if you get the bowl combo meal. On another note, why would Jack In The Box include a side of french fries with a rice bowl? Those two items don't even go together. They serve stuffed jalepenos there, that probably would have been a more fitting choice.

Although the bowl isn't a rip off, I probably won't ever buy it again. Jack In The Box has too many other options on the menu where you can get better tasting food for the same, or less money.

How much this bullshit cost? $4.29 for the bowl, $5.99 for the meal
Was it worth the money? Kinda, you can find cheaper options on the menu and still get full though.
Did it give you the Bubbleguts? No.
